'stop editing' ? If you mean when you've draw several points and you want to stop draw more points in a way. using Potlatch 2 on the website. The answer to that is: Double-click on the final point, or press enter.
If you have other quick questions you need to ask while editing, it can work well to say hello in the chat room and ask you question there.

Don't worry too much, anything you do can be undone.
To add to the above, if you do something in Potlatch 2 which doesn't quite feel right, there's the "undo" button at the top of the screen. If you do accidentally save something you shouldn't have saved, just ask and someone will help you out.

Thanks everyone for the inputs. Actually I was talking about the changesets. I wanted to erase everything I have done so far, and start over, since I think I've might messed up a little bit, due to the lack of experience in OSM... :(

You can't really "undo" a changeset, but you can always go back and fix any mistakes you may have made.
