Yesterday's mapping trip was cut short by wife's call from the hospital. Today she gave birth to a baby girl.

I got the bike back, so I rode to map all streets in Veleň near Prague. Also mapped some more of the hiking routes. Thanks to Walley for drawing them on http://openstreetmap.cz/.
I have made a couple of simple tweaks to the Osmarender rules and styles: Red Arrows for Oneway Streets, Residential Buildings, Hiking Trails. Images included!
TODO: make it easy to render it yourself.
Noted a few more house numbers on the way to the post office.
Found out why building=apartments does not use the already present building-residential SVG style. Stay tuned.
At last I made the tracks and notes from June into a seed of a map of Humpolec.
Again mapped a part of the city while going Christmas shopping. Riding on a bus one can map quite a lot, taking notes in an atlas of 1:10000. Boldly drew lines across white plains! Almost saw lions running away. Passed the longest house in Prague along the way.
Faced with the necessity of buying a few presents in an ugly part of Prague filled with concrete, asphalt, and shopping hangars, I decided to lighten the experience by wrapping it inside a mapping trip. Thus, it took 7.5 hours whereas a direct trip would take 2.5. A clear win :-)
Walked through the fields that still survive between the expanding suburbs and discovered abandoned orchards, as well as well hidden huts of the homeless. Observed that some suburbs manage quite well without one-way streets while others happily stick four road signs within three meters. Wasteful. Nearly got lost among dead Czech actors.
Came home tired, with a running nose, spent next 3 hours clicking up the results.
Got a t@h account today (thanks ojw). Started crunching the maps on my laptop and also on the quad core workstation at work. 249th place, yay :)
Tried to put together a One Click Install package of the client software for openSUSE. More about that once I get pavel to test it.
Mapped most of Čakovice yesterday morning, including the new housing estate. I takes almost as much time to click the data in OSM as it takes to actually walk around the area, sigh.
The surroundings of the Ládví station are unbelievably undermapped. Started to fix that, adding the library and cinema. Then went to the Prosek library and mapped the few shops in the panel jungle.
Got a third GPS device in a short time (hopefully the last). Qstarz BT-Q1000 Logger. Log downloading over USB seems to work, kind of, using http://bt747.sourceforge.net
