Nope; it's just the first changeset, though I'm not sure how editing worked before the changeset system was added early on.

how did the first changeset delete nodes?

OSM didn't always have changesets early on, there was some other system to add stuff.

look at the incredible data surrounding this area now. Hardly any of this could of existed then, if any of it even did. Not even licensed aerial imagery. Incredible.
