I had already geographically limited this changeset to only the german speaking countries. I applied the same fix outside in smaller edits with more manual review.

This feels like is falls under the "typo" exception: osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct#Exceptions

A single large changeset seems preferable to 250 individual changeset in this case.
