Thank you for improving the map! I'm surprised to see way/315882285 has the name "Permissive Path". Assuming this isn't a commonly used local name to describe that path, I suspect it makes more sense to remove this name, tag the path as "foot=permissive" as described at osm.wiki/Access_provisions_in_the_United_Kingdom and "designation=permissive_footpath" as described at designation=*

Hi, thank you for helping to improve the map. It seems a bit strange, and a missed opportunity, to add these parking aisles without a surrounding amenity=parking area.

Yes, I've just had a quick look and it seems much better now. Thanks again :)

Thanks, Cederby. It sounds like you have a more thorough understanding of the situation than I do. I use iD for simple edits, but find JOSM easier to use for things like this. I suspect it's best for you to make these changes, if you don't mind, given that you have looked into this so carefully.

Hi, mot_tom. Thanks for letting me know. Cederby has done a more thorough analysis of the situation on changeset/59091647

I've just edited way/155062565 in changeset/92248442 - it seems odd to have this path mapped along the boundary to me and I doubt all of it is a path. What do you think? I suspect it should be removed.

57912073 about 5 years ago

What was the outcome of the conversation? I notice it was added back a month after you removed it in changeset/59091647 but it seems like it doesn't belong here to me. I left it as is in changeset/92248442 in case there's a good reason for it.

Yes, I agree that way/850859570 looks like a parking aisle and I believe you have tagged it sensibly.

However, a parking aisle must exist within a car park. This one doesn't. There are two car parks nearby at way/227662514 and way/227662513 but neither of them contain this parking aisle.

It's great that you're adding new features to the map, but when doing so please check existing features nearby and think about the effect your changes have on them. I suspect your new parking aisle belongs inside one of these existing car parks, but it's not inside any currently mapped car park.

Thank you for your further edit. It doesn't address my concern that way/850859570 isn't inside any car park though.

Has this scrub been replaced by an extension of the industrial area mapped at way/8880937 ? If it has, it would be helpful to fix the extent of that area and maybe add an new buildings too.

Hi, it looks like this change accidentally removed the "building=commercial" tag on way/379967721 so I've added it back.

When you write "please find the changeset()" it would be helpful to share a link to it or at least its ID. Just asking me to find it is unhelpful.

You have added way/850859570 as a parking aisle but it's not inside either of the nearby car parks that are mapped. It seems very strange to have a parking aisle that's outside a car park: please make sure you maintain the surrounding features when adding new things to the map.

It seems odd that you've added new service roads going through the "natural=scrub" mapped at way/137702352 - is it possible that this is no longer scrubland and has since been built on? Please try to keep the map well maintained around the new features you add.

It seems a bit weird that you chose to map the parking aisles in the southern half of the Asda car park but neglected most of them in the northern half.

When you added this node, there was already a Hough Hill mapped at node/1962052167 so I have merged the tags from this newer node onto that one to avoid duplication.

Thanks for the explanation. I drove past it a while ago and didn't notice any Texaco branding at a glance, but as I was driving I could easily have missed it.

Hi, thank you for improving the map. I've opened a note at note/2353764 as I noticed these changes leave a Texaco petrol station mapped right next to a Co-op petrol station, which seems unlikely.

Yes, it will be good to meet up again. Your explanation for the separate node makes sense to me. From driving past last week I think the shop is still there but I'm unsure about the brewery.

I've removed this in changeset/90715743
