The area/path in front of the small summercabins is only for use for the cabins and is private property. Sometimes it is totally closed. Instead, walking with the lake on your right hand, you can cross Vejlevej at Birgittelyst, take Tostrupvej and turn right on Kirkestien - a beautifull walk in the Vranum bakker. At Vranumvej turn right, cross Vejlevej again, and walk down to the lake at Vejlevej 56.
