I think the commercial landuse area that is used to label Downtown Rockford needs attention. The area contains places that have primarily residential, industrial, and institutional land uses. It also contains areas that, although sometimes referred to as Downtown, I think have their own specific places names such as Haight Village, Coronado Haskell, the Water Power District, etc. I think ultimately it would be best to map land use on a more granular block-by-block basis in the downtown area, and replace the commercial land use area with a neighborhood area. If anyone has any ideas on what the exact boundaries of the neighborhood area should be that would be appreciated as well. I think the downtown entertainment district boundaries (https://rockfordil.gov/722/Downtown-Social-District) would be a good start, but they do seem a little too restrictive, especially to the west.

Mulberry Street no longer connects between Winnebago and Court. RMTD station / maintenance facility has expanded where the street and parking lot used to be.
