Mapping activities

  • mapping nearly everything in my hometown Neuss and neighbourhood (Kaarst, Meerbusch, Dormagen, Grevenbroich, Rommerskirchen, Krefeld, Düsseldorf)
  • mapping detailled railway infrastructure for OpenRailwayMap
  • in my holidays mapping in rural areas while hiking and cycling, supported by aerial imagery
  • tracing landuses, buildings, roads and improving alignment of existing features using aerial imagery
  • mapping historical objects (abandoned railways, bunkers, etc.) and heritage buildings
  • mapping public transport
  • monitoring edits with OSMCha, Achavi and WhoDidIt in my home region to discover vandalism, find mistakes made by newbies and visualize the activity of (new) mappers
