The historic ward/District Electoral Division labeling here (potentially across all of Dublin?) is inaccurate and, in my opinion, confusing. The 1970 wards (Artane D/E/F/etc.) are mislabeled as Electoral Divisions despite the classification not coming into existence until 1996, and are not labeled with a year even though the modern EDs (Beaumont B/C/D/etc.) are labeled with their formation year of 1986, giving off the impression that the 1970 wards are the ones in use today. The modern EDs are also labeled as "wards" even though all wards were reclassified in 1996 as EDs. Also, for pedantry's sake, the modern ED borders were not finalised in 1986 as a few wards and DEDs had their boundaries altered in 1994 (the most prominent examples are Clondalkin-Moorfield and Cherry Orchard A, which had their border redrawn due to the then-new M50 being built).

The border between South Dublin and DĂșn Laoghaire-Rathdown here is outdated. While initially based on this unnamed tributary of the Dodder, the border was changed slightly via the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 to fix the problem of some Woodside Drive property being split between the two counties. The nuances in the new border can be seen in any present day digital map of the boundaries. This change also applies to the electoral divisions.
