A palace built by a CUP member mehmet habip, who got rich with his monopoly trade of grains, from where the name Bulgur Palace comes from (bulgur is the name of a grain) He got rich when the people needed the food, and built an extravagant and ostentatious palace in the middle of a modest neighborhood. It was transferred to the Ottoman bank when he bankrupted and couldn't pay his debts. in 2001 the ownership was transferred to Garanti bank, which was bought by the Spanish. in 2021 it was bought by Kimpaş and now serves as a public library. The government tried to stop the sales of the palace but the opposing party found a way to buy it. There used to be the financial records of Sultan Abdulhamid here.

Önü de eskiden Doğu Roma imparatoru Theodosius'un limanıymış, e şimdi gecekondu tabi. Bu şehri ya Fatih ya da Theodosius, Justinius vs zamanında yaşamak varmış.

Neyse, hırsız mehmet habip İflas edince 1926'da Osmanlı Bankası'na devredilmiş, arşiv olarak kullanılmış. Sultan Abdülhamit'in bütün mali defterleri de burada tutulurmuş. 2001 de Garanti bankasının mülkiyetine geçmiş. Garanti bankasını da İspanyollar aldı mâlum... Benim merak ettiğim, o tarihi açıdan büyük öneme sahip kayıtlar şimdi nerede ve kimlerin elinde??

Hükümet satışına engel olmak istemiş ama KİPTAŞ aracılığıyla alınmış (Bunun da detaylı incelenmesi lazım)... Her ne kadar halka açılmış olsa da, teknik olarak KİPTAŞ petrokimya ve plastik firmasına ait imiş.
