landuse=grass

hola. thank you so much for adding detailed information to the map, but you're adding it in a form that requires further attention. you've mapped shops and businesses as buildings, while they are businesses within a building. could you please fix this? also please avoid 'shop=yes', thank you.

35696178 almost 6 years ago

Hi. You're adding buildings that do not exist, in representation of shops within a larger building. please don't do that, it's not helpful.
I'm referring to:
Way: Capital Healthy (383876272)
Way: Happy Copy (383876275)
but there's many more, and Panama mappers are too few to correct the amount of mistakes made under the "Kaart" flag.

in Panama we seem not to know the use of most roads. something that would help would be collecting GPS traces for intermunicipal bus routes. I would use this information to convert 'residential' and 'unclassified' to tertiary or above. or we would need to ask locals to help, which I have been trying the last three years and has proven an even more complex task.

Panama has very limited editing forces, so if you want to help please do so. meaning: please review your edits yourself.

I guess I would split it at the last house, and leave the dangling part as track, if you want to leave it at all. the part leading to the house, I guess it has residential function, and I would probably try to identify other residential "highways" within the residential dwelling. villages and isolated hamlets in Panama often have no visible roads, since most of them have no regular shape, and rainfall is so high here, that grass grows even where people walk regularly.

hola. interesante, el 'ref:2'. donde lo encontraste?

79718365 almost 6 years ago

I'm in the area right now, and I hope to add information as smoothness for unclassified roads and sac_scale for paths, and to document the logic in this page:
osm.wiki/ES:Panam%C3%A1/Proyectos/Zonas_de_inter%C3%A9s_tur%C3%ADstico

hi. thanks for looking at the hierarchy, but 'track' is wrong here. these roads have more function than just agricultural. and these few tracks are a remnant of an "original sin" (tagging for the renderer).

hi. I see you added a 'ref' to a Panamanian road (Santa María-Chitré, ref:2). interesting. what's the source of your information? it's something very hard to obtain here in Panama. even if you consult with the MOP directly. I'm sincerely curious.

80548506 almost 6 years ago

can you document the logic? a road going from the 'troncal' (panamericana) to comparatively relevant towns as Olá does qualify as secondary to me, while the remaining links to El Copé and Las Huacas may be tertiary or even unclassified. you may have noticed that there is no agreement on classification here. your opinion, if not explained, will likely be edited back to something else by some of the other randomly editing people here.
please be welcome to explain, we have a wiki for Panama.

80547043 almost 6 years ago

I'm afraid you have joined an edit war here. this road was originally 'unclassified', and has been 'residential' and 'tertiary'. I don't think it will stay 'unclassified' much longer, unless we agree what is what here in Panama.
if you want to document your logic in a corresponding wiki/Panama, be welcome!
