According to the locals, this is called Weymouth Road and begins at the Chilli Beach campground turn-off.

'Portland Road' is certainly wrong. The Portland Roads Road goes to Portland Roads about 4km NW of here.

This is the continuation of Chilli Beach Road NOT the road north to Cape Weymouth.

There is a gate and sign to dissuade vehicles from driving further. It is private, indigenous land.

The road name is properly 'Portland Roads Road' as in the road to Portland Roads, a village with a maritime history of anchoring (Roads, short for roadstead, for those who don't know).

THis dotted section is the gazetted(?) end of Weymouth Road although it doesn't physically exist.
