OK that all makes sense now. I guess I'm relieved it shouldn't happen very commonly, and I haven't received this feedback until now despite many changesets over the past few years. Regardless I will still be careful about combining roads in areas with many bus routes, or at least in this part of Loures/Mafra. Together we make the maps more useful :)

Sorry I'm not sure I understand, I will try to explain what I do. I survey by doing mapping runs on foot, sometimes taking pictures but mostly from memory which is why I cross-reference with SIG resources from the conçelhos, even though these are often out of date (hence why I use ground truth as priority). I do my updates in the OSM editor. Sometimes I do combine roads, but when only one is part of i.e., a bus route it comes up as an error: "These features can't be merged because they belong to conflicting relations." In which case I do not (and indeed cannot) combine. So I'm not sure how this happened. Can you provide example of a way relation I changed that caused an error so I can try to figure out what I did? Thanks for your time, I just want to avoid doing it again in the future.

That usually doesn't happen because I never edit the way relations for bus routes, I'm just adding roads and road names. Not sure what I did this time that caused the error, I apologize.

Thank you for correcting if it was an inaccurate change. The OSM data is usually incomplete or outdated in these areas I am running or interested in running, even satellite imagery, so I confirm on the ground later when possible. Together we all hopefully make these maps more accurate and useful.

Hi, I've been editing (mostly adding to) this area for months and it's the first time I've gotten either good or bad feedback - I hope I didn't screw anything up too badly. Seems to me that all your comments relate to the miradouro do cristo rei at matagosa, which indeed did not align with the Bing image. What are other sources of aerial imagery I could use for the future? Furthermore, as I've been to the miradouro multiple times in the past month, the arrangement of monuments was out of place which is why I was editing those points. In the future I will not disturb the survey points. As for the relation, I'm guessing that was the trail Grand Rota de Zezere, which was inaccurate to the path of the trail in reality and I thought I fixed but apparently not - i deleted the erroneous part and added new trail with the relation, not sure where I went wrong there. Finally, as for the stairs ending at a wall, this does not seem a major issue to me (the stairs to the miradouro do end where the wall begins), and I got an error before saving my changes when they were not connected. Thanks for your feedback and I hope to not create such errors in the future.
