The road is now inaccessible for cars and walking due to a landslide and there are no plans to fix it. From the point where The Weheka Walkway/Cycleway joins the road, it's still accessible for bicycles/walkers heading east towards the glacier.

The landslip is not accessible for 4WD vehicles, but the trail should still connect for walkers.

There's a parking here and the rest of the glacier access road is closed for public use.

The road and the walkway should connect.
