GO BACK! Rolling Hills is NOT a through road. There is a LOCKED GATE at the end of this private road and then a short walk to Rolling Hills on the other side, west of the gate. There is no passage west of 28194 and 28205 Rolling Hills. It is not possible to get from 88 to Wandering Hills/Shake Ridge via Rolling Hills. It is exceptionally DANGEROUS to send people down this road in the winter, icy, steep, no cell phone coverage to get help. It is uncomfortable for residents to be woken up by strangers stuck and without a phone in the middle of the night. This disconnect shouldn't be here. In reality, the Van Sickle Trail is a 3.3 mile trail that connects easily to the Tahoe Rim Trail. This area has a bridge that crosses a stream next to a small waterfall. Please connect the dots!!
