Introduction

Avid OSM mapper and enthusiast since 2015. Also an ex-contributor to Google Maps (the time when Google Map Maker was still alive) and a FOSS advocate. Outdoors I’m a hardcore backpacker.

I’m mostly active in my hometown Hanoi and any places that I’ve travelled to. The origin of data ranges from survey, satellite imagery to any available online sources (e.g. official maps or documents from the govt).

I was the founder and administrator of the now-inactive Facebook page OpenStreetMap Vietnam. It can be said that as of 2023 in Vietnam, there have been four generations of mapper and I belong to the 2^nd one.

I started out with iD like almost every mappers out there and now I’m living with JOSM and OsmAnd.

I don’t map (very) often but once in the mood, I may stick to the chair mapping for more than an hour. That’s also why I don’t have many changesets (less than 1000 as of 2023).
