Why is this mapped? The canal project got cancelled in 2009 as far as I can tell. The excavated areas are barely visible and have been overtaken by sand dunes and desert shrubs. And the excavated area never had any water flowing in it except for a tiny section, so it doesn't make sense that it is mapped as a water basin and canal. I'll remove it if no one has any objections or suggestions on what to do.
