A lifting device set up above a gantry or beam is called as an electric hoist. The hoist may slide along the rail, and it can be also fixed in one place. The electric motor of the winch is attached to a gear mechanism that rotate a drum. There is a wire around the drum, and it has a hook connected on the free end. There is also a control box that regulates raising and lowering of the load hook by means of a button. The electric hoists vary by voltage requirements, capacity, speed of lifting, mobility, and cable length. https://garagebible.com/
