Hi

I have replaced my relation details. I do not want to fight with you but be aware the rendered map tiles are not re-rendered immediately. Most tiles in this region were last rendered on Sunday morning so any changes since then do not show also your browser may be loading from its cache so may not have the latest updates. I suggest you Google this.

From your edits I assume you have extensive knowledge of Zambia, but there are some errors, East Two is not a city or even a town it is the government designation of the airstrip, have a look at the map and you will find a number of these airstrips, the residential area has grown because the airstrip is there, I have removed the 'city'. The Bangweulu Swamps are not seasonal but their extent may vary with the seasons so the outer edges may be seasonal but as this part of Zambia receives in the region of 1000mm and greater of rain annually and most of that in 4 to 5 months you can be sure it is always there.
I have not removed any of your traces, just tried to create relations out of them with the correct roles for each element but as there are many self intersecting ways this has been a big task bu I will leave it to you.

I have found contributors that have absolutely no knowledge of the region have made assumptions and added or edited the maps and created errors. As I have lived in Zambia all my life I think I know a fair amount about the country but obviously not everything.

Regards

Hi,

I see you are mapping the Bangwelu Swamps. May I suggest an easier way. You can trace around the outer edges and add them to a multipolygon relation similar to how you have done it here but give the members the role of 'outer'. These outer members can be in sections not necessarily one long run. then any features inside the relation that are not part of the wetlands can be traced separately and added to the relation with the role 'inner' this will have the effect of leaving them as 'holes' in the relation. you can do this with open water and high ground or islands. It will also mean that in OpenStreetMap Bangwelu Swamps will be labelled with one name not several different labels all over the map.

I hope this helps. I have just done the same with the Barotse Floodplain.

Cheers,
Dave

Please check the location of the Czech Embassy in Lusaka. You have placed it in The Roan and Sable restaurant, the address you have added is Twin Palm road, which is nowhere near where you have indicated the Embassy. I have moved it off Roan and Sable but not positioned it in the correct place as I am not sure of it's location. Please check this thanks

This is not a body of water, it is a seasonal wetland known in the region as a 'dambo'. During the rains it will be wet but during the dry season will be dry. they may have an intermittent seasonal stream through them but not always. Often they will be the source of larger rivers but sometimes just form in low lying areas.

Please consider reclassifying as seasonal wetland.

Please could you check this as some schools are duplicated and others are positioned in Lake Kariba.

Thanks
