I agree.

There is (and I also see it happening here) a certain feeling of possessiveness, of ownership, among publishers, for the areas in which they have dedicated themselves most. A feeling that seems to be born in the OSM mapper slowly and quietly, and that comes up when the first notification that someone has edited something in your area arrives. Perhaps they are remnants of an animal territorial instinct. :)

And I will not deny that I am also a little uncomfortable when someone changes an area in which I worked and does something with less detail than I did or would do. I am uncomfortable, but not to the point of reverting his edition (unless it was terribly wrong).

I think there is no solution. OSM is like a public square, it has people of all kinds. Some are more open-minded, others less, and my solution to that is also to let it go.

If I make a change in an area, and some PieceOfMap owner comes, undoes my edit and says it is wrong (because it is not the way he thinks it is right because he is sure that his way is right) I give a second look and, if I’m wrong ok, but if I’m right, I just let it go and go to another area.

Patience. This is the price to pay for the “O” in the OSM. :)

Pois é, estou avançando na direção de São Domingos das Dores e São Sebastião do Anta agora. Mas ainda só pelo OSM mesmo porque, mesmo morando minha vida toda por aqui, até hoje não fui a nenhuma das duas cidades. Mas devo mudar isso em breve e ir pedalar para aqueles lados. Ainda não testei os outros editores e até uso o Strava mas ainda prefiro fazer tudo manualmente, pelo PC mesmo. Costume antigo, por muitos anos fazendo isso para arquivo pessoal, no Earth. Depois vou dar uma olhada nesse mapwith.

Sobre os cursos d’água, fiquei mesmo na dúvida se incluia os menores já que em campo, vários deles nem podem ser vistos e/ou praticamente não existem mais graças a décadas de degradação, corte de mata nativa e mudanças climáticas. Mas então pesou a favor o fator que você mencionou, de que eles em último caso ajudam também a entender o relevo, mesmo que você não esteja visualisando o mapa no modo Ciclístico/OpenTopoMap.

Sobre linhas de divisa, estou evitando uni-las com qualquer outra linha, de estrada, rio, ou área de mata ou plantação, porque desde o começo achei que isso poderia ser um grande problema se, no futuro, eu precisasse editá-las novamente e tivesse que sair desconectando ponto por ponto.
