Is it really iron rather than steel? Maybe surface=metal would be better tagging? See surface=metal

At approximately this point, the road was widened to at least two lanes and barriers were installed. It's possible this will become some kind of toll booth, but I'm not sure.

Coming from Neumühlequai (Central), you cannot turn right into Walchestrasse anymore. You can drive into Walchestrasse when you are coming from Walchebrücke though.
