I capture GPS Traces using the following hardware:

• Raspberry Pi 3
• GPS Expansion Board (HAB-GPSPI-NAN)
• GPS Timing Antenna + 10 Meter Cable SMA (HAB-TAGPS-10)
• HitCar SMA Male Plug GPS Active Antenna Aerial Connector Cable for Dash DVD Head Unit Stereos (Right Angle Plug)
• Anker PowerCore+ 20100

I add GPS Traces to OpenStreetMap using the following checklist:

1. Plug Pi into Ethernet
2. Connect Via Putty
3. Command Recording (gpspipe -r -d -l -o /home/pi/TITLE.nmea)
4. Go on Trip
5. Plug Pi into Ethernet
6. Command end recording (gpspipe -V)
7. Move files via FileZilla
8. Open NMEA file in Route Converter and remove any unwanted data
9. Convert files to GPX Using Route Converter
10. Upload file to OpenStreetMap
