Used to be the road through the Abbey. Noth end these days is just a track and southern end the access to the hotel and golf course along with the upmarket houses they built more recently either side of the road. I agree its more residential than unclassified these days.

I'm easy on this. The tagging format probably dates back to 2012 when I did the import for Phase 1 and the translation from the government data to OSM tags wasn't as mature as it would be today. Anyway, feel free to adjust though note none of the HS2 route sections are in build currently through the start of construction for Phase 1 is imminent. The relation reference for each phase in case you need them are on the wiki at osm.wiki/High_Speed_2

They could be changed to something more appropriate. They stem back to a time 12 or more years ago when I was looking to create a new version of the tagging schema which I didnt take further. Some of these tags may have some relevance but certainly they could be reviewed and updated or deleted as required

No I'm sure thats wrong. I must have accidentally tagged the wrong building as the North Birmingham Bridge Club just down the road and mapped at the same time should have that tag and doesn't.

Hio Andrew, I'm reverting this edit as you deleted part of the path that exists. Its possible you just need to add the gates as new nodes on the footpath with the addition of any appropriate access restriction tags as necessary,

Are you saying you don't like the use of the word (vacant) because its not the name of the place? I use it as a useful placeholder to keep an eye on changes when retail units are temporarily empty.
