A teenage boy has died in hospital after a serious collision in Strathfieldsaye on 28 December.

The 16-year-old California Gully boy was riding a BMX bicycle on Strathfieldsaye Road when it collided with a vehicle about 10.30pm.

The teenager was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later passed away.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old Kennington woman stopped at the scene.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Anderson this evening.

Investigators have been told a man was riding a skateboard on Phillip Island Road about 9.45pm when he was involved in a collision with a car.

Police believe a second vehicle travelling behind the first may also have hit the skater.

Emergency services arrived a short time later but the rider, believed to be a man in his 50s, died at the scene.

The driver of the first car stopped and has spoken to police but police are yet to identify the second vehicle or its driver.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in McKenzie Hill this morning.

Investigators have been told a car was travelling along Maldon Road when it left the road at the intersection of Martin Street and rolled about 12.45am.

The female driver was ejected from the car and unfortunately died at the scene.

A 12-year-old girl was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries.

A truck driver has been killed in a crash in Dederang this morning (4 January).

It appears the truck was travelling south on the Kiewa Valley Highway and has left the road, clipping trees about 8.40am.

Emergency services personnel are currently at the scene.

Sadly, the male driver died at the scene.

Police are at the scene of a single vehicle fatal crash in Yarram this evening.

It is believed the vehicle was traveling on Old Sale Road when a tree branch fell onto the vehicle just before 6pm.

The driver of the vehicle, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.

A passenger sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
