alexz, i'm also using garmin, a nuvi 1300 though I still don't know the routing algorithm garmin is using to calculate the route. suspect it's mostly weighed on the distance and the highway type. tags for max_speed and number of lanes may also come to play. I only experiment with routing in makati to check and correct if i can but i don't really need it as i can navigate around the city with ease. not so with wifey who i cautioned not to trust the GPS completely :(

@maning, i checked OSM before i posted it and there really is a bollard with no access for cars and permissive for motorcyles. I was perplexed why but I know it's not the correct route.
