Flickr using OSM in Australia!

A very pleasing find. Let's hope Canonical get the memo.

Old maps on the idiot box

I am truly sorry and thanks for letting me know. I take back everything complimentary I said about the ABC. This is seriously lame. I believe the BBC engage in this sort of crudulence. I find it hard to buy the reason of "copyright", too. ABC News flash: the Web is global. You might try an Australian proxy if you can find one.

Quite often I'm embarrassed of my country. Sheesh.

Oh, yeah: "I'm only seeing what it's like - I won't get hooked." :~)

Piste resistance – finished New Zealand

Yes, lanes=1 is good, and also need to indicate the direction of priority. I think I've used direction=1|-1, but might switch to priority=1|-1. Also, some of the longer bridges have points where vehicles can pull over, to effectively segment the bridge and make it easier for them to enter. This might all turn into a proper proposal if I don't stumble on something soon. Cheers.

That was pure hubris to expect I wouldn't screw a tag up somewhere. Could have been worse, I guess. {:~|

Bellbird grove bushwalking

Errors now fixed :~)

On my way home, picked up two streetnames which I messed up in today's slightly embarrassing debut. Will fix ASAP. Here are the errata:

* Nicholson Street (-27.5287,153.02895) is actually Nicholls Street
* Glenelg Street (-27.52484,153.029221) is something like Glendale Grove - need to confirm outbound tomorrow.

Sorry.

Thanks for your comments. I did RTFM BTW but remembering when it counts is another matter. (I think that "live data" message actually confused me - noticed the Thursday bit eventually). In my browsers and in my head, I can only keep so many tabs open :~)

If Potlatch works in Gnash, I'm happy and surprised. The wiki warns to steer clear of it if you don't like Flash. Will also give Merkaator a bash, so to speak.

Anyway, I have a couple of errata to announce and rectify (refer next comment).
