Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for updating these roads. It looks like these roads were built recently so I suggest using this imagery from 2022:
https://gis.apfo.usda.gov/arcgis/rest/services/NAIP/USDA_CONUS_PRIME/ImageServer/tile/{z}/{y}/{x}

To use this, open the background menu (hotkey 'b'), click on the 3 dots next to 'Custom', and paste the URL provided above. If you need any help with this, feel free to respond to this comment.

Happy mapping!

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for adding details to this golf course. Please note however that fairways and greens should not overlap (see graphic on osm.wiki/Golf#Common_mapping_pitfalls). Please feel free to reply to my comment for any further clarification.

Happy Mapping!

Hi,

Thanks for responding. It is important to note that OpenStreetMap is used by more than just pedestrians (ie cyclists, drivers, etc.), so removing this road isn't the right choice here.

One of the things most foot routers for OSM look for is whether or not the road in question has a sidewalk. This can be added as a 'sidewalk' tag (see sidewalk=*). The road removed in this changeset (way/5248439) did have a `sidewalk=no` tag, which is most likely the reason why the three pedestrian routing engines featured on osm.org seem to avoid this intersection when routing from The River Center to Starker Park:
* GraphHopper (osm.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_foot&route=44.5555%2C-123.2947%3B44.5481%2C-123.3023)
* OSRM (osm.org/directions?engine=fossgis_osrm_foot&route=44.5555%2C-123.2947%3B44.5481%2C-123.3023)
* Valhalla (osm.org/directions?engine=fossgis_valhalla_foot&route=44.5555%2C-123.2947%3B44.5481%2C-123.3023)

I'm curious to know what routing engine/app you're using.

Hi,
It looks like you accidently dragged one of the nodes a part of the driveway in this changeset. Can you please fix this?

Hi,
It looks like that this changeset removes the connection from Philomath to Western, however this still seems to appear in imagery from 2020. If this road has been demolished, I would readd it with the `demolished` lifecycle prefix so that other mappers won't mistakenly readd it (osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix)

Hi,
I noticed that this changeset adds `alt_name=Verizon Wireless` and `name=Verizon` to all nodes that are a part of ways you've modified (ie way/1041984927 and node/9592320472)

Hi,
Please note that we typically don't abbreviate street names in OSM (see osm.wiki/abbreviation). For cases like these, the short_name tag should be used (short_name=*).

It looks like another user added short_name to all MAX stations a couple years ago (changeset/101082167)

No worries, I restored it in changeset/131245339

Hi,
It looks like this changeset removes Madrone Mission Bay. Was this intentional?

Hi,
Thanks for adding this new roundabout! I noticed that there isn't a connection from the roundabout itself to Butteville: just want to confirm whether westbound traffic on OR 219 can't access Butteville from here

Hi,
What is the source for this name change?

Also, it looks like you removed the name from Bird Springs (node/151932833) Was this intentional?

Hi,
As noted on the wiki article for the distance key (distance=*, other units besides kilometers should use one of the abbreviations listed on the Units wiki article (osm.wiki/Map_features/Units). In this case, the distance value should be '65 mi'.

Also, I mentioned in (changeset/129888961) that we don't use the name tag to describe features in OSM, see osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions. Can you please remove the name from this highway milestone?

Hi,
As I mentioned in (changeset/129888961), we don't use the name tag to describe features in OSM, see osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions. I've removed the name from this road in (changeset/131034809)

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Please note that we don't use the name tag to describe features in OSM (see osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions). Could you please remove the names from the features added in this changeset?

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for updating this road name. Please note however that we don't abbreviate road names in OSM (see osm.wiki/abbreviation). In this case, it should be unabbreviated to 'Southwest Lockwood Court'.

Quick tip: you can use the hotkey 'q' to square the corners of buildings

Hi,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I assumed that this road was no longer under construction based on the changes made in (changeset/127798058). I've changed it back to how it was before.
