Please be advised that as of June 29, 2017, the Tappan Zee Bridge which carries the New York State Thruway (I-87 and I-287) over the Hudson River between Rockland and Westchester counties has been renamed the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. Please update your files and systems to reflect this legal name change. A new bridge is expected to open in the next 2 months, which will also carry this new name, and the existing bridge will be dismantled.
