Shangani Rural Hospital is located in the west of Shangani town,a hindmost town in Matebeleland South Province in the North East direction of that Province where the Province borders Midlands Province.The two provinces are divided by the river Shangani after which the place is named.The place is occupied by farmers and is full of huge farms and plots surrounding the small town.The hospital serves the diameter of abt 140km making it the second largest health centre after the district hospital,Filabusi which is some 200km South West of Shangani.Shangani Hospital is proximal to the highway connecting the cities of Zimbabwe.It is growing fast due to mines in the area.
