Hi, I’m Thaïs and I’ve been part of the Missing Maps project with CartONG since December 2023. Part of my contribution to the OSM platform is to set up collaborative mapping for small and large humanitarian and development organisations. As well as getting started on OSM, my missions are to organise and contribute with my team to mapathons all over France and to promote OSM and OpenData. We train new contributors and strengthen our volunteer team of expert contributors to ensure the quality of our projects. We also encourage CartONG’s partners to use and contribute to OSM, for example by offering training courses in collecting field data with applications adapted to OSM.

As a former geography student with a passion for all kinds of cartography, especially sensitive cartography, I’m always keen to learn more about the tools that help to develop knowledge of territories in difficulty. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn through OSM :)
