I am an Associate Professor and the GIS Program Director in the Geography department at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, USA. I study cartography, FOSS GIS technology, and Latin America. I have conducted various research projects on the social factors behind OSM. I teach OSM in my geography courses and I advise our Youth Mappers chapter that uses OSM frequently in their activities. I encourage the use of the hashtag #CWUGeog for student work at our university.
