DOC also has the conservation areas (https://www.doc.govt.nz/map/index.html). These are conservation areas not the "forest" but give some indication of what is known as the boundaries of the named area on the ground.

Sorry, I was just trying to update coastline and separate out named glaciers from ice sheet. Knowingly deleted a few erroneous coastline elements. not sure about municipality boundaries wasn't my intention to mess with them at all.
