For years, I have been using a small path which gives access to Dalmunzie Road, but when I went to use it today 21/5/19 I was surprised to find a previously crumbled dyke had been rebuilt and two large signs erected reading "Keep off Private Garden"
The path starts behind Springdale Road and connects to Dalmunzie Road. The part closed does not go through a garden, but through open woodland.
Can you please advise on the right and wrongs of this situation.

missclicked, the road surface on the bridge is concrete, not asphalt. it's not one smooth surface either though, it's looks like wooden paneling, but concrete. hard to explain
