| 1310343 | RoySmith649 | There doesn't seem to be the correct connectivity between the Shore Road Greenway and Bartow Pell Circle. If I route via OSM, it wants to take me down Shore Road to the crossover (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26926397), but Google Maps has the correct connectivity (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26926362). Here's my guess. The short stretch (about one meter!) of road between the greenway and the circle proper is technically a motorway, and you probably don't want to route bicycles onto a motorway. In reality, making that left turn to get onto the circle is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. In fact, the path show for the greenway isn't really correct. It actually continues straight, without the jog to cross the road at a right angle. |

| 1076321 | RoySmith649 | I used MapMyRide to plan a route through here, and it tried to route me through the unpassable section. Both OSM and Google Maps show this as unpassable, so I'm not sure where MMR was getting its data from. But, more to the point, there's actually a paved section of Hillside Crescent which connects with Lycroft Road, and there's just a short section of grass which starts at about where I've placed the map marker. This can be seen in the Google Maps satellite view: There's no street sign at the corner of Hillside and Lycroft, so it kind of looks like somebody's private driveway. It was pretty confusing. I saw a local resident and asked him for help. He said there's a "paper road" there, and it's OK to ride a bike over the grassy part. Not sure how much I would trust that. I'm not sure what to do about this, but figured I'd at least report my observations. |
