Good question. I think there is value in being able to record the "addresses" details as the owner sees it (e.g. apps can then display that information). That goes beyond just postcode though. Almost like we need a replication of the addr: namespace for "addresses" that you cannot post mail to. Will look at what discussions have happened in this space.

man_made=charge_point : "A device for charging electric vehicles". This is exactly what these are. They are also part of a charging station : "A location where an electric vehicle may be charged" even if you are not happy to use the amenity tag. The key words here are device and location.

Why not use man_made=charge_point: man_made=charge_point
