I primarily map hiking trails in SE Connecticut and SW Rhode Island. I use Gaia GPS and noticed many hiking trails, parking areas and trailheads were not on Gaia GPS or the Geocaching apps. I started logging all of my hikes and details of the areas. I then use the GPS Track Editor program to generate a GPX trace file and upload to OSM where I add the trails and correct inaccuracy of existing trails. Usually takes a few hikes of the same trail to generate a good average GPX trace to build paths and access roads in OSM.
