Projects:

1. Public lands (USFS, USFWS, and BLM) in Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, North Idaho, and Western Montana. Also, state and county lands in Bonner and Boundary Counties.

2. Roads (focus on rural) and land cover/use between the Pend Oreille and Kootenai Rivers, an area that has been largely untouched for years (over 15 years in some places!). Planning to (re)survey this summer.

3. Public lands roads (Forest Service, especially) and trails.

Progress info dump:

1. Replaced Colville, Idaho Panhandle, and Kootenai NF proclamation boundaries with ownership boundaries. They still need some tweaking because of GIS boundary discrepencies between the various land agencies and TIGER state and county borders, but otherwise have been replaced. Eventually, I’d like to replace the proclamation boundaries of Flathead, Tongass, Okanogan–Wenatchee, and Lolo NFs, more or less in that order.

2. Added all of Colville NF’s inholdings, >50% of INPF’s inholdings, and maybe 25% of Kootenai NF’s inholdings. Taking a break from inholdings to work on project 2.

3. Added all of Colville NF and IPNF’s special management areas (but not campsites and other points/areas of interest); BLM ACECs and RNAs in North Idaho; and updated Turnbull and Pend Oreille NWR boundaries and trails.

4. Finished ~75% of rural Bonner County’s roads and >50% of Forest Service roads in my focus geographic area.
