I live in Kansas City. I love Kansas City, but there’s a lot of work to be done to make it its best self. I will be mapping little areas around my home based on a combo of local knowledge and in-person surveying as I happen to get time. Occasionally if I travel I may map wherever I’m traveling as well.

Mapping interests: I’m mapping all the restaurants I can find with legitimate gluten-free options (something other than a salad), little free libraries (free-standing book cabinets), public / publicly accessible restrooms, water fountains, and most of all I have a special place in my heart for old-school photo booths, which are nigh impossible to find by googling.

Some items I have recently been pleasantly surprised to learn I could map: art (including murals and graffiti), memorial and historical plaques, outdoor exercise equipment stations, compressed air machines, dog poop bag dispensers, bins for used clothing donation, US mail drop boxes, bulletin boards. I’m sure I’ll come across more types of POIs that I can map, and begin adding them as I go.

I am pretty new at this, so if you see an error in one of my change sets please let me know. I am open to any pointers or suggestions that the more experienced folks here have. Thanks!
