Apologies on the comment, when I was checking the ravines a few weeks ago there was no new paths, that clearly has changed. I am adding the path back. It is hopeful that the heavy equipment path remains.

Please avoid modifying areas that you have no knowledge of. The modifications that you have made do not exist.

GeorgeS - I have changed all of the entries from track to path. Once a way is a track with a name, it will become part of a routing engine and may not be accurate.
Most of these trails are on private property and likely should be tagged ownership=private or outright access=private, dependent upon signage.
Where did you acquire the naming (RT##) from or did you randomly assign the numbering.

Hi GeorgeS - do you have GPS data for the Snowmobile Trail (75) that takes the path up to Derbyshire Rd?
If so, I'd like to obtain and add it to OSM. (an if you have GPS data for the east side of Lawson Lake Rd, that would great too.

The function of the three ways that were changed to service are either a business or park/campsite. Although Sugar Shack could be a combination service and driveway since there is a single residence further up.

Limerick could be Residential with access=private/destination since there are do not enter signs or access=driveway with driveway=pipestem, I guess I forgot that tag

Mears I suppose could be Service, since it is a business but since it is also a Private road with two residences, chose Driveway and intended driveway=pipestem, but missed entering it.

and I suppose ownership=private should be added to all but one listed

hello TAYbalt - I have updated New Bold Square back to access=yes; the use of access=private should only be used where the general public is not permitted without prior authorization. An apartment/condo complex is a publicly accessible venue. The most restrictive that a site such as this should be access=permissive or maybe access=customer.

option 3 is in use now, after I had responded, I considered that option. Much cleaner to resemble the adjoining roads.
I use these roads regularly, and with the Empire Trail now crossing the Dunn Memorial Bridge the opportunity for folks to cross the road portion instead of the sidewalk was too great of an accident waiting to happen.

Hi JessAk71 - Thanks for the review, I understand your point. If you feel it is important to change to access=yes then provide the restrictive level of *mode=no then I will do that.
The interpretation that I have taken is that while access=no is restrictive of public access, placing the motor_vehicles=yes overrides the restriction. This is evident in this statement,
"access=no, bus=yes - means that only buses are allowed to enter (for example a road only for buses and forbidden also to pedestrians)"

"It is necessary to add additional access (like foot=yes or bicycle=permissive, etc.) to indicate who may use the element, if anyone is allowed. If only specific transport modes are forbidden,"

Hi ezekielf - I've reviewed all of the Town of Arlington Private roads and adjusted most all to be highway=service highway=driveway && access=yes or access=permissive.

it was a good exercise to revisit due to many alignment issues

Hi ezekielf, I will review the changes made. The changes are per the P designation from the Town of Arlington website. Granted a few of these are Private roads to a business where it may be better access=permissive and ownership=private.

But, a majority are labeled as PVT at the driveway entrance, this is understood to be Do Not Enter unless authorized or making a delivery.
