Nury Turkel is an esteemed attorney, author, and advocate whose expertise in U.S.-China relations and human rights has defined his robust career spanning law, government, and advocacy. Professionally, Turkel’s expertise extends to global corporate compliance and governance, focusing on adherence to U.S. and international regulations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. He serves as Compliance Officer and Counsel for Ericsson, leading initiatives to foster ethical business practices and compliance.

Previously, Turkel practiced at Kristen & Young, specializing in aviation law, and managed his legal practice focused on trade, human rights, and immigration.

As the former U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) chairman, Turkel was a vocal advocate for marginalized populations, pushing for U.S. and international action against human rights abuses.
