I don't know the name for this type of gate structure. It's not a kissing gate, I don't think. It's just there to get cyclists to slow down enough that they don't eat it on the upcoming rails.

Hopefully someone can edit this effectively - a diagonal traffic diverter was installed at this intersection in Fall 2025. Bikes and pedestrians can go through in any direction, but motor vehicles have to turn! CORP is operating this rail line south to Mount Vernon rd in Springfield. UP still owns it, and has trackage rights. Docket FD36818. All of this track needs split owner and operator tags. This is the northern extent MP 660.58.

Tanner-Hiller Airport is permanently closed as of late 2024. The land is becoming the Menameset Habitat and the runway is being converted into the Mass Central Rail Trail.
