Mapper since: December 04, 2012
I recently moved to Toronto to study cities and maps and GIS and stuff; I’ve mostly been mapping buildings and businesses around here, but I also like to clean up bad imports when I see them, especially address ranges that don’t seem to reference anything.
I spent most of my life in Ohio, so you may notice that I do a lot of editing around there too. My big goal lately has been to clean up rural TIGER imports using Bing imagery, often deleting quite a few features. It’s armchair mapping, I know, but until we get a lot of new contributors from the world of agriculture, I feel like it’s making a big difference just as basic quality assurance. Please feel free to hit me up if I step on any toes! I think I’m pretty good about not deleting things that have been touched by humans, but mistakes happen.
I also want to give a shout out to the Cincinnati Bike Map, a fully OSM derived print map I produced a few years ago.
