the New Museum's extension is no longer under construction and now open. it seems to be fully integrated with the old building. It may have a skybridge. Per https://www.newmuseum.org/about/building/ the extension reopened on 2026-03-21

There may be an entrance on Freeman Alley, but I don't know how integrated it is with the main museum lobby.

At the foot of the alley, a sign reads: OBERON
Restaurant and Bar
