Also there is this Map type in Gaia that they outsourced and shows the trails. You can add it to your account with the green button in the corner

Relations are another type of object that groups together related lines and points. In this case it groups together all lines that make up Nipmuck Trail. (route=hiking)

Gaia doesn't like to show marked trail, but there are other maps that do.
e.g, Mapy (https://en.mapy.cz/turisticka?x=-72.1984958&y=41.8753241&z=15)

Hi Andrew, I just noticed that when you decommissioned this tunnel what also got lost was information about 'maxheight' for vehicles to pass. I don't know if the limit is still there, but if yes then we should still put the tag back so large cars can navigate well.

Hello Brian,
thanks for contributing to OSM! Great job adding those buildings. Just a little tip, after you draw a building press "Q" (or right click + select square). This will automatically make all the angles 90˚ and the outlines will look nicer.
Oh and don't forget to save your changes to OSM before you move to the next area.

Cheers

Hi, you double tagged golf=fairway features. They already exist as multipolygons e.g. relation/12772930

Please don't change data just to fit your particular use case.

But since there is a roof over the road and it has walls on both sides
(https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=41.18316~-73.179619&lvl=17&dir=288.259&style=x&v=2&sV=1) shouldn't there be tunnel=building_passage? If there are no walls then covered=yes seems like appropriate to me though.

tunnel=building_passage

Please don't create duplicate data. This fairway already exists.

Hole numbers don't belong to the 'name' tag. You've been told that before.

Immediately stop deleting data!

Those water areas are clearly fake. Even in the latest imagery there is forest in their place.
Please don't create fake features.

Here again. Please use multipolygon when there is a bunker inside a fairway.

1) Please don't delete objects just to replace them with a worse and less detailed version.
2) Don't create overlaps between green and fairway.

Please don't create "lollipop" extensions when there is a bunker inside the fairway. Please use multipolygon.
Please refer to wiki how to properly map golf courses:

Same here. You deleted a perfectly fine fairway and drew almost exactly the same shape in its place.

125377846 over 3 years ago

Hi,
can you explained what was incorrect on those fairways that they needed to be deleted? They match recent imagery just fine and those you draw follow the same shape.

It seems you are right that the E Grand Street ends at house #19. I can see the same on [Stonington GIS portal](https://gis.stonington-ct.gov/ags_map/). I split the road and renamed the eastern half to Salt Acres Road. Thanks for bringing this to attention.
[Bing Streetside](https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=41.334939~-71.902559&lvl=17&dir=244.805&style=x&v=2&sV=1) from June 4, 2015 shows three signs: Causion Drive slowly, Dead End and Causion Children at Play. Could that be what you saw?

In iD you can split roads by selecting one of its nodes/points then right clicking on it and selecting "Split".
Also It's not good to use Google Maps because they are copyrighted. But one can use Bing Street Side or Mapillary. Just press "U" in iD and select them from the menu.

Happy Mapping!

Hi Andy,
thanks for contributing, but are those streets really for private use only? We typically mark road as access=private when there is a No Trespassing sign or an entrance gate. From satellite imagery there seems to be several cars driving or parking on that street.

That's great, thanks!
