For 3 years (2003-2006) I led the technical part of the Site Research team in Tesco. My team was responsible for the (Smallworld and MapInfo) GIS systems used by the department for making store location decisions, and I did a rebuild of the Tesco ‘gravity model’ used to predict new store sales.
