| 144319745 | about 2 years ago | I started doing this with footpath updates based on precedents set in other areas (can't recall where). Made sense to me that where a footpath/footway aligns with a street or road it should have the same name attached and provides pedestrian access to properties on that street. For consistency and for Australian conditions, the correct reference is footpath. "Sidewalk" is a North American term not used in the Australian context and is not relevant in technical Australian infrastructure terminology. |
