Welcome.

I am a historian, illustrator and I work in film industry. My part time hobby is mapping OSM, mainly Japan and occasionally Finland.

My main target and interest currently is to tackle mapping Beppu, Japan to a more detailed level. I work on it on my spare time between real life projects. Sometimes I venture outside this to keep things interesting and progress happening.

I am still learning, as OSM wiki is fairly poorly documented and finding standards and information can be very difficult at times. However, I consider much of my work to be a slight step-up from a basic groundwork to get things more up to date. I invite anyone willing and interested to check my edits, fix errors and message me in order to get things to a better, higher standard.

I try and tag most buildings with at least some basic shapes and height levels. I tag rough colours and roof shapes where easily possible. This is partially for my own benefit, as seeing progress on 3D maps such as F4Map is a great motivation as well as visual reminder of my progress.
