over 4 years ago | Hello, please be careful when editing existing buildings. You have dropped the height and building tags for this building in this changeset but these are still valid tags. The building needs to be updated to replace these tags.
over 4 years ago | Hello, it looks like you have removed the building tag here for this building, this is still a building and it should be placed back on the polygon.
over 4 years ago | Hello, it looks like some of your changesets are removing the building tag from the building polygon. Since this is still a building please make sure to keep the building tag. In addition, it looks like you have moved the building outline so its no longer accurate, please do not modify building footprints that already look to be accurate, this polygon is now badly askew and needs to be fixed. In addition I see that when you are merging hotel nodes with buildings you are leaving the node behind, in iD you can merge them which will remove the node when its placed on the building. All your left over nodes should be removed... unfortunately a high number of your changesets in this area all have these same issues...
over 4 years ago | Hello, it looks like this changeset moved this building's footprint over the road and misshaped its actual footprint. It looks like you are digitizing buildings using the building roof as it looks on imagery without offsetting to match the actual footprint as it is on the ground due to parallax. The footprint as it was, was pretty accurate and could have been left as is when you did the update. For future edits like this please be more careful as these changes are breaking building footprints and there are more changesets you have that results in the same issue. I have already fixed this case as best I could.
over 4 years ago | Hello, I have noticed on a number of your changesets when you merge the hotel node with the building you are leaving the node behind and duplicating the information with having it on both the building and node. If you are using iD you can use the merge function to merge and then it will also automatically remove the node when you merge it into the building. This way you will not be leaving behind a node that has duplicate information. I have corrected this issue for this case.
over 4 years ago | Hello, please be careful when modifying building outlines, this one in particular you had moved the outline to overlap the road and it became misshaped. I have already fixed this case but please be more careful in future edits.
over 4 years ago | Hello, please be careful with some of your changes where you are merging hotel pois to buildings, in this changeset you merge the 2 hotel pois here to two separate buildings - the tower and the base of the building - but really this one structure operates both hotels in one single building. Its better in this case to keep the two separate hotel pois for the two separate hotels that are operated in the same building. If you are unsure about where to merge pois to buildings Id suggest to leave them as they are or ask for help from the community in a note. I have already fixed this here.
over 4 years ago | Hello, please be careful with some of your changesets, in this one you removed the building tag for this polygon. This is still a building so the building tag should stay... I have already fixed this building but please do not remove the building tag unless the area is no longer a building...
over 4 years ago | Hello, please be careful with what buildings you are merging node tags with because in some cases you are removing correct tags from the original buildings. In this changeset you transfer the hotel poi tags to a tower of this building and you removed the actual name of the tower which was "Tower 2", where as the hotel itself is actually the larger building here underneath and already has the correct hotel tags: way/31557331 . If you are unsure as to what to do with the node tags Id suggest to leave it as they were. I have already gone and corrected this building.
over 4 years ago | Hello, it looks like this changeset and some of your others in the area here have moved building footprints from their original position into incorrect and skewed positions (in this case the building was moved on top of the road). I have corrected these buildings in this changeset but please for future edits be careful with how you are altering building footprints...
over 4 years ago | I have fixed this case here: changeset/103436314 but many more exist...
over 4 years ago | Hello, it looks like when you are merging point tags to buildings you are not removing the point feature and are leaving behind empty points, please delete the points once you have transferred the tags otherwise you are leaving empty nodes with no information... I can see this has occurred in a large number of your changesets
over 4 years ago | Hi zyphlar! No worries, parking lot ways are sometimes ambiguous as to type so I figured in this case best to use parking_aisle given they are directly related to the parking spaces along side them. Agreed on the wiki notes, I just changed them to be a generic service road with no tag. Thanks for the note!
almost 5 years ago | Hi Yunzhi, yes that looks good, sounds good. Thanks!
almost 5 years ago | Hi VLD174! I saw you removed the water tag on this water tank/parking lot here. I am not sure what the best tag would be for this - its a open surface water tank that is filled only when needed for filming and then drained for parking the rest of the time - it does have the 'intermittent' tag on it which does go along with the water tag: intermittent=*?uselang=en so not sure what you think about it but perhaps place the water tag back here or use a different tag to denote what this is?
almost 5 years ago | hello I am noticing that a number of these nodes that have been imported are empty nodes and are not building polygons, was there an error during import? I suggest taking a look at the resulting import to be sure...
about 5 years ago | For the most part Ill skip it but I havent been making airport poly additions systematically, only when I see certain size ones in areas I am working in that dont have a poly Ill add one.
about 5 years ago | The point could for sure be merged into the poly. I just didnt make that change to preserve the change history on the point and its not easy to do in Potlatch 2 but feel free to make the change if you like.

over 5 years ago | Hello! No was not able to travel to the island on my last visit to the area but rather used aerial imagery to modify the roads on the island. From what I remember, all the roads on the island were badly mangled from a old Tiger import so I just aligned them to match up with what I could clearly see in imagery. Perhaps there are better imagery for the area now though.
