• Approximate date of last Pokémon GO global map update using OSM data: March 3rd, 2026.
• Estimated date of OSM data used in said map update: May 8th, 2025. (A difference of about 14 months.)

My prediction for the next map update: Late 2027.

Pokémon GO’s developers typically need multiple months to parse through OSM data before it’s put onto the map. Keep this in mind if you make changes to the OSM map, and don’t see your changes on the Pokémon GO map after a map update.
