The definitive map of PRoW Durham shows this path as a Bridleway, not a byway.

There is a gate with "no trespass" sign.
Is it allowed for public, or it's a private road?

Former Field House opencast mine. Now being restored (Spring 2022). Wait for imagery to catch up.

This bridleway doesn't look right. There seems to be a cycle crossing significantly further away from roundabout.
